Why, why, why am I up at 1:02 AM doing this when I know that I have to get up at 6:00 AM? If I somehow develop supernatural web design powers I will be done and in bed by around 2:15 AM. But that's if God pities me, which he has no reason to because, as I said earlier, I know full well that I have to get up early. So basically I'll drag my sleep-deprived body up to my bedroom about 4:00 AM. Presuming it will take about fifteen minutes to get in pajamas and actually get to sleep, that leaves me with an hour and forty-five minutes of sanity restoring rest.

About three weeks ago my mum ambushed me when I was still in bed and told my that my aunt was on the phone asking if I could take one of my cousins to a nearby water park. I don't remember this, but apparently I said yes. I'm in the dark as to whether this conversation ever took place. And the excitement keeps on coming. Along with taking my cousin to a crowded water park, I get to take her swimming today as well. Plus, I have to take another cousin with me when we actually go to the water park. I can hardly contain my glee.

Don't get me wrong, I love swimming. I even have a little Red Cross card to prove I'm good at it. I just don't enjoy constantly watching seven year olds so they don't drown. Also, I don't like public swimming places in general. *shudders* It seems as though it is a gathering place for extremely rude people and their equally annoying offspring. It reminds me of Wal-Mart. Then there are always those ladies who make it their job to expose as much skin as possible without getting arrested. I remember one time when I went swimming with some friends and there was this one lady who had her top almost completely off. I saw this group of little kids just staring at her and I was just a tad disgusted. One of the people I was with went over and told her off, but I was still ticked.

As far as Summer Oracle goes, I got a new layout up but I have to redo some of my pages because for some odd reason my FTP program went haywire and started deleting files. If you have ever lost something that you spent hours on due to a computer, you know that words cannot express how you feel. I shouldn't complain because I have a few of the pages on a backup drive but I wish I could understand what went wrong.

Moving on to my next topic, I am co-running a new forum called Chimera. If you don't know what a Chimera is, I will enlighten you. It is a creature created from three beasts; the serpent, lion and goat. To top it off the Chimera can breathe fire. The name was picked because the forum officially has three administrators, but that's an incredibly long story full of laughs, tears and spilled tea. Besides, as Merboy puts it, "the word just sounds cool."

There was a small earthquake where I live a few days ago. It wasn't major, considering I live in Illinois. There wasn't any damage even in Chicago because all the buildings are made to withstand incredibly strong winds. It still was enough to wake everyone up at 1:11 AM when it happened. I was still up and I remember thinking that it was just a rockslide at the nearby quarry. I was a little freaked out when I found out though because I got a serious case of deja vu when I looked at the newspaper. I'm not sure if I enjoy that feeling. I'm so tired now that I don't care either way, so I'm ending this entry.

Insanity in individuals is something rare - but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule.
